The Word of the Day... Uncertain

04/07/2020

If we’ve learned anything from COVID-19, it is how connected we all are globally. It may have taken the spread of a deadly virus to demonstrate it, but it is clear we are all in this together. Highline Adventures, LLC operates seven hotels and one campground in some of Montana’s most beautiful places. We are proud to offer something for every traveler. Unfortunately, the current crisis has shown that worldwide pandemics can touch even the most beautiful places. Circumstances and government restrictions seem to change daily. We have made some changes too.

Measures Taken to Combat the COVID-19 Virus

The safety and health of our guests and team members is our top priority. We have always prided ourselves on our guest service and super clean rooms, and now we have stepped up even more. We have a schedule for hourly sanitizing of all common area doors, light switches, writing surfaces, and plumbing fixtures. We increased the room cleaning time to allow for a careful sanitizing and cleaning after every stay, and we do our best to leave the room vacant for at least 24 hours before renting again.

During the check-in process, guests will find patterns on the floor marking the correct spacing for guests. All pens are sanitized after use, as is the check-in desk. Email folios can be provided, rather than using paper.

Some services have been restricted as well. Also, as per the constraints with restaurant services, we are currently restricted from serving breakfast and beverages in the lobby.

This will last until restrictions have been lifted. Coffee makers are available in the rooms, and extra coffee is always available by calling the front desk. The pools and hot tubs have also been restricted from use but will open as soon as we are able.

Changes to Operations

  • Currently, the Ramada in Bozeman and the Travelodge in Livingston remain open. These properties also have the added benefit of rooms that open directly to the parking area so that guests can go straight from their car to the room.
  • While the Super 8 in Gardiner has been hit hard by the closing of Yellowstone National Park, it remains open and ready to serve guests.
  • The Travelodge in Gardiner and the Timbers Motel by Travelodge in Bigfork are still closed for the winter, but we hope to open them as usual on May 1.
  • Just the Super 8 in Livingston and the Western Heritage Inn by Travelodge has been closed due to the current crisis. We hope to reopen as soon as possible.

This Too Shall Pass

In Montana, we are fortunate to have a spread-out population, wide-open places, fresh air, and access to National Forests to explore during these challenging times. We are so grateful to the community of businesses that help make our adventures so wonderful. They have struggled in this season of uncertainty, and we look forward to partnering again soon.

Eventually, things will return to normal, and it will be safe to travel again. When that time comes, we hope that you will visit Montana, shop in our fine stores, eat in our amazing restaurants, explore our area and experience all the fun things that are offered here, and stay in our of our locations as well. Until then, we hope you follow the local directives to avoid crowds, stay home, and wash your hands.

Here at Highline, we always try to look for the silver lining in everything. We have been able to minimize layoffs by shifting people to other properties and keeping them at work cleaning, repairing, and beautifying those that were closed. Our goal is to come back stronger and shinier than ever before. Rest assured that travel will resume, and Montana will be as beautiful as always. Our team looks forward to the day we can welcome visitors back to this beautiful place we love.
