Highline Adventures sprang to life with one mission in mind—to give Montana’s visitors a chance to experience our great state the way we do. Montana is wild, and we love it that way. But we also know it can make planning a trip to our home difficult for those who are newcomers. That’s why we’ve worked hard to build a place that feels like home while helping you create setting you and yours up for the getaway of a lifetime. Our native knowledge of Montana is woven into everything we do, from our hotel designs to the vendor partnerships we’ve made and the hikes we recommend. Staying with us is like coming to visit a friend who was born and raised here because we were. Whether you’re just looking for a unique place to rest your head or all the tips to take you off the beaten trail, our doors are always open.
Highline Adventures was originally created as a way for two outdoor adventure-lovers to raise a family in the state they love. Eric and Veronica met in Glacier National Park in 1994. Eric had been a “Jammer” for 3 years, driving the antique red tour buses throughout the Park. Veronica came to Glacier as an intern in hotel management at Lake McDonald Lodge. As fate would have it, Eric was tasked with driving Veronica across the park to Lake McDonald. Their first hike together was the Highline Trail, following the Continental Divide below the Garden Wall.
In 2006, after 12 years together, the birth of two beautiful daughters, and a wealth of industry experience, the two decided to pour their expertise into a business. With a deep love for Montana and a background in guest service and hospitality, it only seemed natural to create Highline Adventures. Their goal was two-fold: support local people with a family-style work environment while treating guests like family, too. Ever since then, it has been their sole focus to treat Montana’s people, visitors, and lands with care.
We hope you enjoy the local knowledge and the adventures we’ve identified on this website. These are some of our favorite activities, restaurants, and social establishments around. We also hope you decide to stay with us so we can continue to build the Highline family and share our home with you.
